Ensure that the request slip mentions the type of asparaginase preparation and time of sample collection in relation to the last dose. 

  

One tube, each EDTA and serum samples  

Fill tube completely, minimum 2 ml of blood. 

Invert the tube not less than five times. 

Centrifuge within two hours at 2200 rpm × g for 10 min. 

Use pipette to transfer all of the plasma/serum into a cryovial. 

Freeze immediately at –20?C or –80?C until shipment/testing.
