BCR-abl Genetic Testing

Ordering information:

BCR-abl testing  must be peformed within 48 hrs of collection (best within 24 hrs.) 

Referring Lab will not process this test over the weekends.

Samples need to be at Peter MacCallum pathology before 1500. (Mon-Thurs only) .

Do not collect before Weekends or Public Holidays.

Collection Instructions:

PLEASE NOTE THIS TEST REQUIRES 20-30ml OF BLOOD.  ACCORDINGLY, PLEASE COLLECT 3-4 OF THE LARGE EDTA TUBES.

Samples need to be at Peter MacCallum pathology before 1500. (Mon-Thurs only) .

15 ml EDTA blood required.
