HFE gene study (C282Y) (H63D)

The EDTA sample collected for Haemochromatosis Genotyping must not be used for any other tests.  If the patient requires other tests such as an FBE, a second EDTA tube will be needed.

Please note: Patients without a recorded history of elevated Transferrin Saturation or elevated Serum Ferritin or first degree relative with Haemochromotosis will be charged a minimum non rebatable fee of $37.10.

Storage Instructions:

The EDTA sample for this testing MUST NOT be used for other tests such as an FBE, as it must remain uncontaminated.  An ACD collection tube can also be used.

Do NOT spin , Store and transport at Room Temperature.
