This is a PC4 level pathogen. Requests for PCR must be discussed with the Department of Health and Infectious Diseases in advance. Place all specimens in Biosafety Cabinet and wait for instructions.Do not process specimens without approval to do so.

Ebola virus PCR

Ordering information:

This is a PC4 level pathogen. Requests for PCR must be discussed with the Department of Health and Infectious Diseases/Clinical Microbiologist prior to testing.

For the laboratory: If a suspected Ebola specimen is received: do not open or process. Notify the Clinical Microbiologist immediately, quarantine the specimen in a biosafety cabinet.
