Collection & Request Instructions

Collect samples at BHH on Tuesday and Wednesday (before 1pm) and at Angliss on Tuesday only. 

NIPA(T) must be requested on the Blood Bank request form accompanied by an Australian Red Cross Lifeblood (ARCL) request for NIPT for Fetal RHD form. 

Please collect 1 x 6mL EDTA to be stored at room temperature and forwarded to the specimen reception at Box Hill in a red plastic bag. Upon arrival at Box Hill specimen reception, the request is registered as per the usual interstate send away procedure and stored at 2 – 8°C until ready for interstate courier pick up on Wednesday 3pm.

 

Collect samples on the following days only:

Box Hill - Tuesday (anytime) and Wednesday (before 1pm)

Angliss - Tuesday only (anytime).
