| Method | BCR:ABL Testing Instructions
Known BCR:ABL p210-positive patients (previously tested) can be tested by Flow Cytometry staff.
New BCR:ABL requests must be referred to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) for testing.
Eastern Health performs BCR:ABL p210 testing only and does not perform BCR:ABL p190 testing.
Any request for BCR:ABL p190 must be sent to Peter Mac.
All samples should first be sent to the Flow Laboratory for assessment to determine whether testing can be performed in-house or requires referral.
If guidance is required, consult the Senior Scientist (Haematology) or a Haematology Registrar to determine the appropriate testing pathway. | BCR:ABL Testing Instructions
