Ordering information:

For Parasites study, please order "Faeces Ova, cyst, parasites" test through EMR, add "Duodenal Aspirate sample" in the "Order comment"

Collection Instructions:

Place aspirate in a sterile container, and take directly to the laboratory for examination for Giardia lamblia (G. intestinalis) and Strongyloides stercoralis

Transport at room temperature to the Laboratory

Take immediately to microbiology for processing.

 

 

Notes:

Cultures for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria can be made after discussion with the laboratory
