Collection Instructions:

Urine

15 - 20 mL of first-stream urine specimen collected at least one hour since the patient last voided. Refrigerate immediately.

 

Cervical  & Vaginal swabs

Use plastic swab without transport medium.

Transport at room temperature to the Laboratory.

ALL specimens must reach the Pathology Laboratory within 2 hours of collection.
