As of 01/01/2023 testing performed on a Diasorin Liaison XL

Only Mumps IgG is tested in Box Hill Lab, if current infection is suspected, a swab for PCR should be collected; if unable to be collected Mumps IgM is sent to VIDRL

Notes:

The frequency for Mumps IgM test is twice weekly.

The transit of specimen from Angliss or Maroondah lab and out of working hour collection may cause the prolonged turnaround time
